We're Home!
After a long drive with a stop of in Kansas City for some good food at BD’s Mongolian BBQ we arrived home in Henderson at 9:00 pm! We left at 7:20 am so that means our return trip took a little less than 13 hours. Not bad considering it took us 17 to get to Atlantic!

Our Last Day in Atlantic
Wow! What a day! This morning we spent some time siteseeing! We saw the first place Jesse James robbed, a beach in the middle of Iowa, and a house that belonged to Jeremiah Hitchcock (if you don’t know who he is…you better ask somebody!). Tonight, VBS went great! The kids learned about Jonah’s prayer from the belly of the whale and made door hangers in class! We also spent some...

Tuesday in Atlantic
Siteseeing in Iowa can only be described by one word: VELCOMON (Danish for welcome!). While there are things in Iowa that aren’t Danish or huge, we sure couldn’t find them! We first met Albert the Bull, a 30-foot behemoth of stone! He looked a little worn from years of being a tourist attraction, but he was still awe-inspiring! Then we made our way to the twin cities of Kimballton and...

Monday in Atlantic
What a great day! Between the set-up for VBS, the door-knocking, and the first night of VBS we’ve all experienced some of the greatest highlights of being a Christian. Today we encountered opportunities to serve, teach, befriend, work, and sow. Could there be anything more fitting that that on a Mission Trip! We also we’re able to see the benefits of our hard work. Tonight 3 young...

Sunday in Atlantic
Fully exhausted with a lack of sleep is no recipe for awareness! That’s the problem we all faced on Sunday by our genuine and immense fatigue. However, a great day took place in Iowa! Worship and Bible class was great. Elijah Zaiger, the preacher’s son was baptized, there was a potluck meal, and some new friends were found! That afternoon we all enjoyed some rest, most of us tried out...

The Neverending Journey...
Well, it only took 17 hours for those of us who decided to come on the trip to arrive in Atlantic early this morning! Between the smells and sounds of the van, our game of Red-Rover beneath the Gateway Arch, and never ending supply of highway…the trip was fairly uneventful! We didn’t encounter any psychopaths or road rage-aholics! The drive was in one word -...

It's Almost Time...
Wow! It’s hard to believe that our trip to Iowa is almost here! I’m really starting to get excited about the great potential of this trip. It seems like only yesterday the original plans were being made. Now that almost everything is done…I’m starting to get the nervous, anxious, ready-to-get going feeling!
